Stuff that Jim Colbert doesn't discover first! grin
In Response To: What do you collect? ()

Seriously --- California - Florida (as I grew up down there) - and Nevada (mostly current, cannot afford to get back into the 40's and 50's treasures). Sometimes a few from other states if they pique my interest.

Suggestion for a newcomer, collect by subject - such as Holidays - try to find a chip for New Year's Eve, then Valentine's Day, Easter, etc., etc. It's tough but possible to find ones for Groundhog's Day, April 15 tax return date, and so on. Or, collect topics like Clowns, Horses, Famous People on chips. If you take a fancy to boats, there are ton of "wet chips" showing cruise ships. Some folks collect by denomination, $2.50 (expect a LOT of pink chips), or $25 or even $100 (ummm, you really don't want current releases of those puppies). Whatever pleases and is perhaps a challenge. My father made a similar suggestion involving collecting U.S. postage stamps and the American Topical Association was formed to pursue that sort of hobby. Hope this helps!
