I think the deal was, whoever supplied the tables to the short-lived Crystal Mountain Casino repossessed them, although how they did that to Indian Property is something of a mystery. Otherwise, logically, the tribe would have held on to the tables in the anticipation that it would resolve the road-easement issue that doomed Crystal Mountain. Maybe it took a change of tribal government but eventually they were able to build that nifty Route 50 Freeway interchange to lead right up to the casino. Well, Sacramento did the building. The Indians did the lobbying!
There must have been a window-of-opportunity for tribal members or others (or people who bought the repossessed tables from the supplier) to get their hands on a table loaded with chips!
The 25¢ EPI chips . . . just a wild guess but . . . maybe those were only in Blackjack Tables as that oddball payout wouldn't have been needed for tables to be used for other games. So My Guy would have acquired one of the BJ tables?
