It's also very important to honor the great Splashys who have passed.

In addition to Brian we lost Aaron Peacock years ago who was a good friend of mine,

Just this past year we lost another awesome Early Splashy winner, Darrell Lynch. One of the infamous BAM brothers, Darrell was one of the nicest guys you would ever want to meet and was never without a smile on his face. Although Darrell and Tammy haven't been regulars at the Splashys the past few years, he was another good friend that many of us will miss dearly.

I also don't want to neglect mentioning Eric Rosenblum. Although not a Splashy winner, Eric has been a Splashy regular for many years and has been a staple at the Splashbar every day during the convention. Eric was one of my best friends and just like so many others that have passed, the convention will be hard to go to without him.

The Splashys and the Splashbar have always been highlights of the convention for me and I am honored to have known all the great folks who support it.

It may take me another 13 years to make sure all those that deserve to be recognized get a Splashy, but I am determined to do just that.
