And one area of gambling that is really hurting is poker. Tunica down to two casinos with poker rooms and Hollywood is in danger of closing. When I was there a few weeks ago they had just been told they were getting moved out of the very nice room they have been in the last 5 years and going to the casino floor. That has been the kiss of death for almost every room I have seen. They also fired the guy who has been the poker room manager since 1994.

And in case no one noticed there are about 70% less slot machines on the casino floor than there there was 10 years ago. In Tunic you had a hard time walking between all of the machines. Now is it like a ghost town. The aisles that were 3 feet wide are now 20 feet wide. We won't even mention the death of the pit areas.
