Gpod Morning Everyone, I have been enjoying the "March Madness". Today's post is the state of Washington. And while I am at it Congrats to the 16 winners of the past two days of awesome round ball. This includes the Washington. Thank you for opening my post this fine Saturday. Reggie
PS; Hi Folks this is a PS to the regular message: I will be taking a couple of months off of publishing the “Page of the Day, starting this coming April 6th. This will be the last POD, until the first week of July. At this time I am planning not to start the POD until after the LV Show. I will post the actual dates later. (It is looking like the first week of July) During this time; I will be lowering prices making the necessary changes, adding the newly acquired items from the LV show, and scanning the new images. I will still be posting my “Hang a Sold Sign”, Post Cards, Face Value and Premium Sets; daily…Reggie

EVERY NOW AND THEN I HAVE A DIFFERENT PRICE ASSIGNED TO THE SAME CHIP IN A DIFFERENT FORMAT. PLEASE KNOW THAT THERE ARE SEVERAL REASONS THAT CAN CAUSE THIS TO HAPPEN. WHILE TRYING TO EXPLAIN THIS, I WILL TRY NOT TO CONFUSE YOU.
THE FIRST AND FORMOST REASON THIS OCCURS IS BECAUSE OF THE LARGE INVENTORY I AM TRYING TO MANAGE. RIGHT NOW I HAVE APPROXIMATELY 5500 CHIPS IN MY (SELLING/TRADING) INVENTORY.
THE SECOND REASON THAT TWO PRICES FOR THE SAME CHIP CAN TAKE PLACE IS THAT I HAVE THEM DISPLAYED ON MY “PAGE OF THE DAY” AND ALSO ON MY HANG A SOLD SIGN FEATURES. TRYING TO KEEP UP WITH ALL THIS IS MORE THAN A FULL TIME JOB…IT IS A LABOR OF LOVE FOR SURE…LOL
ANOTHER REASON IS THAT ON THE PAGE OF THE DAY THE PRICE IS CONSTANTLY BEING LOWERED. THE SAME GOES FOR MY INDIVIDUAL CHIP DISPLAYS KNOWN AS “HANG A SOLD SIGN” THEY ARE ON A REVERSE AUCTION.
SOME OF YOU MIGHT BE AWARE THAT I KEEP MY SELLING – TRADING CHIPS ON AN EXCEL SHEET ON MY COMPUTER. THIS IS ANOTHER REASON THAT PRICING INCONSISTENCY CAN OCCUR. THE FACT THAT I HAVE AN EXCEL INVENTORY WITH APPROXIMATELY 5500 ITEMS DESCRIBED AND PRICED (BUT NOT NECESSARILY IN STOCK), IS TRUE. THE FACT THAT IT IS 100% ACCURATE, IS NOT.
HERE IS ANOTHER WAY PRICING INCONSISTENCIES OCCUR, EXAMPLE
A SUNDANCE $1 BILLINGS, MT CHIP IS SOLD AT $6 THEN AN OPPORTUNITY TO BUY ANOTHER PRESENTS ITSELF AND I BUY IT. INSTEAD OF STARTING AT THE LOW PRICE I RECENTLY SOLD ONE, I START AT A MY ORIGINAL SELLING PRICE OF $10 AND WORK MY WAY DOWN. THIS HAPPENS QUITE FREQUENTLY, THE BUYING AND SELLING PRICES DIFFER OFTEN.
I HOPE I DID NOT CONFUSE YOU IN ANY WAY. THIS IS MEANT TO BE MORE OF AN APOLOGY FOR THE INCONSISTENCIES THAT YOU MAY OR MAY NOT HAVE NOTICED IN MY PRICING. THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO READ THIS…REGGIE
PS: SOME CHIPS I PAID TOO MUCH FOR. FOR THIS REASON THE PRICE BECOMES FROZEN SOME WHERE ON THE WAY DOWN IN MY REVERSE AUCTION PRICES…REG

This is a bit closer to what I was hoping for. Good atmosphere, friendly people. Seems to be more of a local's place, not another Strip Casino in the sticks. It's in the middle of a orange grove. The Casino was busy for a Tuesday afternoon as they had a giveaway for a covered baking dish in exchange for enough points. Looks to be a nice useable item, not just casino cheapie bling. I'd never play enough to earn the points. But there were a couple hundred people walking around with their prized dishes.
They gave a table games match play of $5 with the club membership. 'bout time I got something for the tables and not just useless slot "free" play. $10 Pai Gow table that had 3 side bets. Dealer was nice about explaining the side bets and off we went. I got Pai Gowed, Queen high only. So much for the match play coupon. But one of the side bets was for if you got Pai Gowed, and it paid $7 to $1. Yea! Only lost $6 on the hand :-) Tipped the dealer $1 and scooted.

’TWAS A RAINY SUMMER NIGHT IN COLORADO, (I DID WANT TO SAY GEORGIA)WHEN I PULLED INTO BLACK HAWK. I FELT LUCKY TO FIND A PARKING SPOT INSIDE A PARKING GARAGE. ANY WAY I STUMBLED INTO THE LODGE, AND THAT WOULD BE THE EXTENT OF MY HARVESTING FOR BLACK HAWK. (I DIDN’T KNOW IT AT THE TIME)
I GOT INTO ONE OF THE WILD POKER GAMES THAT PREVAILED THROUGH OUT COLORADO AT THAT TIME. AS I REMEMBER, IT WAS A $5 LIMIT WITH 5 RAISES. IT SEEMED LIKE IT WENT THE LIMIT EACH ROUND ON EACH HAND, WELL I LOST ABOUT TWO BILLS BEFORE I REALIZED IT WAS NOT MY NIGHT TO BE A SHOWDOWN WINNER AT THE HOLD’EM TABLE.
I DID CULL OUT THE CHIPS I NEEDED, WHICH WAS NOT TOO MANY. IT WAS STILL RAINING PITCHFORKS AND HAMMERHANDLES, AND I SLOWLY RESIGNED MY THINKING THAT THERE WOULD BE NO MORE HARVESTING IN BLACK HAWK.
THEN I TURNED MY ATTENTION TO FINDING A ROOM IT WAS GETTING VERY LATE OUT IN RAINY COLORADO. I MUST HAVE TRIED FOR AN HOUR OR MORE. NO LUCK ON GETTING A ROOM. AT THAT TIME I TOTAL GAVE UP THE IDEA OF TRYING TO DO ANY MORE HARVESTING, THIS RAINY NIGHT.
SO, I DROVE OUT OF THE BLACK HAWK AREA AND DOWN A VERY SCARY ROAD (AT LEAST AT NIGHT) INTO DENVER, FOUND A SUPER EIGHT THAT BACKED UP NEXT TO A TRUCKING COMPANY. DRIVERS WERE COMING AND GOING ALL NIGHT. I DID NOT GET MUCH SLEEP THAT NIGHT, BUT I DID GET ENOUGH CHIPS TO LAST ME A WHILE. THEY PROBABLY COST ME $20 EACH, BUT IF YOU PLAY; SOMETIMES YOU GOTTA PAY.
VERY EARLY THE NEXT DAY AFTER A FREE BREAKFAST, I HEADED NORTH TOWARDS DEADWOOD…REGGIE
