Dice Storage

Last week someone asked how do dice collectors store their dice ?
Here is how I store mine for easy access, safety, and visibility. I am not saying this is the best way, just my way.

I have 9 photos below showing my method, but first an explanation of each photo. This is probably more info than you wanted but I wanted to be as specific as possible.

1st Photo shows 50 cent coin tubes with screw lids.

2nd Photo shows pair of dice in tube with slight space from top of dice to top of tube.

3rd Photo shows 50 cent tube, pair standard 3/4" dice, ( 2 ) pieces cut felt, & paper label to fit inside tube.

4th Photo shows label inserted in tube print side down, 2 felt spacers- to raise dice up just slightly above tube top, & pair of dice.

5th Photo shows lid applied and screwed down just enough to hold pressure on dice to keep them from moving. Felt acts as a cushioned spacer. I choose felt because I could get different colors.

6th Photo shows Label on bottom. The reason I put label inside was to be able to reuse tube or to add to description or change labels easily.

7th Photo shows side view of dice in tube without dice touching sides.

8th Photo shows a few tubes with dice ( bottom view ).

9th Photo shows a few tubes with dice ( top View )

You can store tubes either top up or bottom up. I have had several hundred dice stored this way for over 6 years with no damage.

Tubes cost about 30 cents each for quantities of 100 or more. I use either H.E. Harris or B.C.W. Brands of tubes ( just my preference )

I tried push on lids - but dice would become loose quickly.

I hope someone finds this way useful.

Casino collectibles is a great hobby and even better when you share your ideas with others.
