At least you could have bought some fried chicken at the Safeway Market on the Old 101 (El Camino Real) in Burlingame. That's about the only place I know of in that city. Well, apart from Putnam Chrysler Jeep & Dodge that advertises constantly on KCBS 740 AM (The owner tells his general manager, "You better get busy and sell some cars, Bob!" Yeah, lots of traffic lights that keep cars flowing like molasses through town.
