Well, the phone company wouldn't have had to alter the North Las Vegas exchange equipment to substitute EVergreen for DUpont. Evergreen . . . Dupont . . . I say it's spinach and the hell with it!

Ah well, you say Spinach and I say Banana...

At least we know it was the same exchange office for both. They probably renamed it to Evergreen to avoid confusion.

Going back to the 60s we had FLagstone 2 or now 352, people were pretty used to it for a long time. Then they added 351 and a couple years later 354 and 353. I used to get calls on the 352 number for people with the same on the others. Got to the point where I knew who they were calling and could say wrong number Barbara Fox's number is 353-2277 grin

I like a good mystery and hunt, even if it's mostly irrelevant and meaningless.
