Good Morning Everyone, it is not very often I can say that to the CB et al. I usually sleep til' noon; because I stay up and watch WC BB or late movies. Today I have 25c chips for you a nice group of quarter dollar chips. Please remember I trade and it matters not what; as long as you and I are both satisfied with the traders. Please know that I am happy to help you out with any information that you seek. Thank you for checking in with me today, March 2, 2019. Reggie
PS; Hi Folks this is a PS to the regular message: I will be taking about a month or more off of publishing the “Page of the Day, this coming April, to reload the POD’s. At this time I am leaning towards not starting the POD until after the LV Show. I will post the actual dates later. I will be lowering prices, adding new images and getting ready for the Las Vegas show. I will still be posting my “Hang a Sold Sign”, Post Cards, Face Value and Premium Sets; daily…Reggie

SOLD CHIPS:
OK, here is the deal, while buying one chip won’t get you a great big discount, mostly because actual total value and the huge price cuts I have made with the new POD, however, if you like to get deals, here is how:
After your 2nd fair sized order, in a reasonably short time, you may be surprised with a discount without even asking. Also, with an exteme amount of face value and one dollar over face chips in the “New” pages of the day, discounts are not as frequent.
• For a volume discount, purchase at least 3 chips, face value chips usually are never discounted; unless specified
• Request a discount for a $25 + valued chip
• Try a partial trade / partial cash combo.
• Use my hold service to accumulate enough value or chips to qualify.
• Compile a list from the “Page of the Day” and make an offer. Will not return email for any low ball offers (The prices are listed).

Here’s one I don't see on the Chipguide Florida page: The
illegal Riviera that was on one of the Sunny Isles near
Hallandale.
Red chip, 3 light blue inserts, hot-stamped "R" with
an odd hearts-and-squares mold.
The Riviera holds a special place in my memory: it was the
first casino I ever saw! I must have been about 6 years
old and visiting with my grandmother and grandfather, who
took my parents and I from their home in Hollywood to Miami
Beach via A1A. And we passed this creepy boarded-up old
building where the road going down the peninsula was fenced
off with a big chain between posts. My grandparents said
it was a casino that had been owned by gangsters, and it was
now deserted.
The building stood for quite some years (wonder who paid the
property taxes?) but became damaged in various hurricanes,
and by around 1964, I think, it was torn down. Don't
know what's there now as we moved from Florida in 1965.
Around 55 years passed, during which time I forgot the name of the
old casino, but eventually I took an interest in collecting
chips and decided to research it. "Riviera" it
was, same name but presumably not ownership, as another
Riviera Hotel in Miami Beach.
And when this chip came up on eBay, I decided to bid on it – and won!
A "red" chip would today be a $5 gaming piece, but I
don't know how it was played in the old days.

- don't know if this counts as a "harvesting
story" but you are welcome to use it if you
wish.

NANCY AND I HAD SPENT THE NIGHT AT RIVERWALK DURING IT’S FIRST MONTH OF OPERATION, AND WAS ON OUR WAY TO NEW ORLEANS. ONE OF OUR SCHEDULED STOPS WAS THE TREASURE CHEST IN KENNER. WHEN WE LEFT THE FREEWAY, I WAS NOT AWARE OF HOW FAR IT WAS OFF THE BEATEN PATH.
WE FINALLY ARRIVED AT THEIR PARKING LOT AND WHILE WE WALKED TO THE WALKWAY WE NOTICED THAT THE OUT SIDE OF THE OLD RIVERBOAT LOOKED VERY NICE, THE ENTRY WAY WAS ALL MARBLE, BUT WHEN YOU WALKED ABOARD THE ACTUAL RIVEBOAT IT SMELLED HARSHLY OF A COMBINATION OF CIGARETTE SMOKE, CIGAR SMOKE AND WET RAGS. I KNEW NANCY WOULD BE READY TO LEAVE AS SOON AS SHE GOT THERE. ON TOP OF IT ALL THEIR CHIPS WERE ALL THRASHED.
ON TO PLAN “B”, OOPS I DID NOT HAVE A PLAN “B”. I HURRIEDLY GATHERED A FEW ONES AND A COUPLE OF $5 CHIPS. WHILE DOING THIS I DISCOVERED THEY HAD SOME 50c CHIPS THAT I HAD NOT SEEN BEFORE. I GRABBED ABOUT 10 OF THE 50c CHIPS AND WENT BACK TO THE CASHIERS CAGE AND CULLED OUT ALL OF THE REAL LOSERS THAT I HAD BOUGHT OFF OF THE TABLES ($1’s & $5’s), CASHED THEM IN AND GRABBED NANCY AND BARELY NOTICED THE AMBULANCE THAT HAD BACKED UP TO THE WALKWAY TO THE ENTRANCE OF THE TREASURE CHEST.
AFTER SEEING THE AMBULANCE; WE REALLY WANTED TO GET OUT OF THAT AREA, PLUS IT HAD STARTED RAINING VERY HARD. WE HAD PLANNED ON GOING TO HARRAHS IN DOWNTOWN NEW ORLEANS, BUT ON THE WAY DECIDED WE HAD BETTER GO TO OUR RESERVED MOTEL IN HARVEY, LA.
NO, I DID NOT GET ENOUGH CHIPS DURING THIS HARVEST, ‘YA WIN SOME AND ‘YA LOSE SOME…REGGIE
