Interesting (and confusing!) thread!

I'm not sure how helpful they'll be, but I got out the phone books that we have for the 1930's through 1950 (and I'm kicking myself again, because there was a 1936 phone book on eBay about a month ago and I forgot to bid on it!! ...and there's been a 1931 phone book listed with a buy-it-now of $500, which is well over my phone book budget!)

Later I'm going to do a couple of new threads with scans from the 1948 & 1950 yellow pages. The scans are huge, if the Chipboard software will let me post them as scanned. They probably won't be very helpful with the Harrah's/Reno Club issue, but it's a lot of fun to look at the ads...
