Good day fellow chippers; today marks the 10th day with the cold that I received as a "we are back present" from our snow birds. Today's POD is from North Dakota and South Dakota. My SD chips are slowly slipping away, they seem to be popular and have stayed that way through out the lessening of overall chips. Thank you very much for opening my POD this fine Saturday in Sunny Florida. Reggie
PS; Hi Folks this is a PS to the regular message: I will be taking about a month or more off of publishing the “Page of the Day, this coming April, to reload the POD’s. At this time I am leaning towards not starting the POD until after the LV Show. (This will happen again in late June thru early July to attend the LV annual Show) I will post the actual dates later. I will be lowering prices, adding new images and getting ready for the Las Vegas show. I will still be posting my “Hang a Sold Sign”, Post Cards, Face Value and Premium Sets; daily…Reggie

OK, here is the deal, while buying one chip won’t get you a great big discount, mostly because actual total value and the huge price cuts I have made with the new POD, however, if you like to get deals, here is how:
After your 2nd fair sized order, in a reasonably short time, you may be surprised with a discount without even asking. Also, with an exteme amount of face value and one dollar over face chips in the “New” pages of the day, discounts are not as frequent.
• For a volume discount, purchase at least 3 chips, face value chips usually are never discounted; unless specified
• Request a discount for a $25 + valued chip
• Try a partial trade / partial cash combo.
• Use my hold service to accumulate enough value or chips to qualify.
• Compile a list from the “Page of the Day” and make an offer. Will not return email for any low ball offers (The prices are listed).

I did the grand tour of the Northern San Diego County casinos on my way out of town. They are all more or less on the same road through the hills that loops around off of I-15. Took all afternoon and one just seemed like the other after several hours. Kind of like doing the Las Vegas strip, only with the casinos 5 or 10 miles apart, and situated in Farms and Orange Groves instead of the middle of a neon desert.
Valley View was a pretty standard casino. I won my first $15 Pai Gow hand from a disinterested sourpuss dealer. It was about time for me to have a winner for the trip. On my way out I saw that a $5 BJ table was still empty. It had caught my notice earlier, but I'm just so enamored of Pai Gow that I passed it by, as it was one of those extra bet of some sort game that I wasn't interested in learning the rules of, just to play a quick hand. Those extra bets scream “Sucker Bet” to me, having I'm sure, a much higher house advantage than well played blackjack. Cruising by on the way out, the 21young looking dealer nodded to me and said hello. I had a good feeling about him and the table. (Usually a sure sign of an impending loss...) He explained the $1 Lucky bet. Well the Lucky bet hit: $1 to $1 paid off before the play of the hand. I stood my 14 against the dealers 5. Dealer's 15 became 25 and gave me a $5 win. As usual, I've played my one hand time to run. Tipped the dealer the $1 that I'd won on the Lucky bet, as I was getting up. Kid flashed a huge smile at having made a buck, and thanked me. That just made my day (along with 2 winning hands finally)! If they could hire more dealers like this kid, instead of the sourpusses, that seem to be the only folks who want a dealing job in the middle of nowhere, spending time in a casino would be much more fun.

DIAMOND MOUTAIN CASINO IS NORTHWEST OF RENO, NV ON HIGHWAY 395. IT IS PRETTY DESOLATE UP IN THAT AREA, BUT SUSANVILLE IS ON THE EDGE OF THE SIERRAS.
NANCY AND I WERE ON OUR LAST LEG OF OUR MONTH VACATION JUST BEFORE TYING THE KNOT ON AUGUST 5TH 2007. WHEN WE PULLED INTO THE PARKING LOT, IT LOOKED LIKE THEY HAD JUST FINISHED MAKING A COUPLE OF PARKING LOTS, EVERY WHERE WAS A CLEAN BLACK TOP. AND I WAS PRETTY SURE THEY HAD A NEW STRUCTURE WHERE THE CASINO WAS BUILT. http://www.themogh.org/cg_chip2.php?id=CASUDM
HERE IS ONE YOU DO NOT RUN INTO EVERY DAY. IT WAS MONDAY AND THEIR POKER ROOM DOES NOT OPEN ON MONDAY’s. WHEN I GOT TO THE BLACKJACK TABLE THEY HAD SILVER TOKES AND FIVE DOLLAR CHIPS. SO, WITH A LITTLE INVESTIGATION, CHIT CHATTING WITH THE DEALERS, I AM INTRODUCED TO THE CASINO MANAGER OF THE DAY. I EXPLAINED TO HIM THAT I AM CHIP COLLECTOR AND A CARD CARRYING MEMBER OF THE CLUB, WHICH IS SIMILAR TO THE COIN AND STAMP CLUBS OF AMERICA. I ALSO, EXPLAINED THAT HIS DOLLAR CHIPS IS ONE OF THE BEST METHODS ADVERTISING OF ADVERTISING HIS CASINO. AND AFTER A LITTLE THOUGHT, HE SAID I HAVE A FEW ERRANDS TO TAKE CARE OF BUT IF YOU GIVE ME ABOUT A HALF AN HOUR, I WILL BE BACK AND HELP YOU OUT. HE DID COME BACK (I SUSPECT HE HAD TO MAKE A CALL OR TWO) AND TOOK ME TO THE MAIN CASHIER, GIVE HIM WHAT HE WANTS. I ASKED FOR THIRTY ONE DOLLAR CHIPS AND THE CASHIER CHEERFUL COUNTED THEM OUT AND THEN I FED HER TIP JAR. I DID BUY ENOUGH AT THIS CASINO BUT I AM RUNNING LOW. …REGGIE

FOR THE UNFORESEEABLE FUTURE, I WILL BE POSTING A LIST OF TEN (10) WANTED CHIPS. MOST OF THESE WILL BE CALIFORNIA CHIPS. THE DENOMINATIONS WILL VARY WIDELY FROM 5c TO $500. IF YOU ARE INTO TRADING, I WOULD LOVE TO MAKE IT A TRADE. IF YOU HAVE ONE OR MORE OF MY REQUESTS AND WILL SELL THEM; PLEASE SEND ME YOUR ASKING PRICE. BEAR IN MIND IF I THINK IT IS OVER PRICED THAT I WOULD POLITELY DECLINE OR MAKE A COUNTER OFFER. LET’S MAKE THIS LIST A CHIP SMALLER. THANKS FOR LOOKING IN ON ME, TODAY…REGGIE
