According to Dwayne Kling's book on Reno clubs the Keno Club at 232 N. Virginia St. was only open
from August to Dec 1931 and was renamed the New Keno Club the following year. It was reopened
as the Reno Club supposedly late in 1932. He goes on to say a Reno Club was open from 1931 to 1934
but later moved to 242 N. Virginia (supposedly next door) from 1934 to 1942. It was renamed the
Heart Tango Club in 1942. Apparently it was again moved back to the 232 address and renamed the
Reno Club when Bill Harrah took over until 1948. All very confusing. I picked out a few postcards
that both back up and contradict these findings. Anyone care to comment?
