Took me 4 hours to go from Beverly Hills to San Jacinto tonight, the first hour travelling only to downtown Los Angeles. Where the rains began! Couldn't go faster than 20 mph, then traffic started to clear up, then a big accident on Route 60 that closed the three left lanes. And after THAT, more rain and some near-hail. Finally got to Soboba Resort - it was crowded. Seems larger but the slots are close together, hard to squeeze by. A few new games - CanCan Girls was popular and paying off. Me? I tried the same ol' Golden Century and got nothing!

New players' cards, as I suspected, I did get a Green Earth one. And of course new chips!

They are ceramic, remind me of the recently-new Diamond Jim's set and perhaps the same maker. Not Icon. Nice touch: they have little suits-of-cards on the outer rings in addition to the little lines. Which, like Diamond Jim's go across the rim but do not necessarily match up. Teaser photo, will post better scans to ChipGuide soon.
