I don't think I ever reported what I found at antique week last week. The first day was at a motel with each dealer in a room. One of the first room I went to had guy who bought a complete punchboard collection and had 105 different punchboards for sale. Sadly he wanted $1500 for the collection (actually a very fair price) but did fell I really needed them all (no where to put that many). But it would have doubled the size of my collection since none of them were duplicates to what I have. I bought three of them instead. I forgot to take a picture of the collection.
The second day was the big show at the fairgrounds. At one of the last tables at the show a guy had some poker and casino chips and I got 6 of them. I could not believe some of the prices being asked for things. Quilts that Cindy could not sell for $200 last year at the flea market had prices of $1250 on them at this show. I guess no one was interested because we were not asking enough.
The last show was at another fairgrounds on Friday and was a total waste of the $15 entrance fee. I was there for less than an hour and prices were sky high. One example was a 6" long pottery pig with delft blue and grey type coloring. Price? $5800. HUH???
