Don offered (here on TheChipBoard) his TCR# 18, at a very favorable price, via media mail, and I bought it.
I sent him payment, via snail mail, and after a week of not delivery or responses to my emails, asking if he got my payment, I started to call him. I have 2 numbers, one of which went to voicemail in his name.
He did not reply to any messages.
I then posted the same type of message that you just posted, and the only reply was from someone else referencing his last post (about the TCR). I continued to email and call, but to no avail, so I then posted a "paging Don Lueders" message here on TheChipBoard.
I then received an email, not as a reply to my past emails, nor as a new email, but as a reply email to my post.
That message was a bit peculiar in that it stated that he had fallen and broke his hip and that he was in recovery. And had surgery ahead of him. He then added, "what can I do for you?"
That seemed to be a strange comment, as we were in the middle of a transaction. However, I explained that I was only looking to see if he received the payment.
He failed to rely to that message, as well not answering any further e.ails or phone calls. At this point, I suspect that when he said he was "in recovery" he meant at a facility that was not his home. (I initially understood "in recovery" to mean, recovering.
So... if anyone reading this has another way to contact Don, I would appreciate the effort.
Jim
