SPEAKER
Our Speaker this month will be Dustin Marks he is, without question, one the most successful blackjack cheaters in history. Possessing an uncanny ability to remain calm under pressure and the talent to perform undetectable sleight of hand under fire, he was employed as a blackjack dealer by several well-known casinos in Las Vegas during the 1980s. While under the watchful eye of casino surveillance systems and pit bosses, he beat the casinos and WAS NEVER CAUGHT!Â

Dustin Marks is the author of several well-known books, including Cheating at Blackjack and Cheating at Blackjack Squared, both of which have been updated (2016) and combined to create the seminal work on blackjack-cheating techniques.

FUTURE SPEAKER REQUESTS
It is my wish to provide a diverse and interesting speaker at all our meetings. If anyone has any suggestions or contacts who could be a speaker at our meeting, please let me know.

Donations
The national CCA convention will soon be here and I am asking for any donations that anyone would like to contribute to the Club (SNCCC) to offer as inducement for memberships. We are currently at 181 members and can easily go over the 200 mark with your help. Please contact me at vergatos@msn.com with any questions or suggestions. Table layouts, slot glass, mini collections are highly sought and make it a great value to join.

Membership Addresses
Please make sure your email address is up to date so that we can communicate any last-minute news. There have been some changes in our meeting rooms and it is imperative that we notify you. Contact Jaydon at jaydon9ogden@gmail.com

Video Taping
Ron Gaudette continues to video record our meetings. If anyone does not want to be captured on video, please let any board member know so that we can accommodate you.

Dues, Dues, Dues!
Please send in your membership dues to Jaydon Ogden. He will be sending out renewal notices shortly. You can contact him at jaydon9ogden@gmail.com.

Roy Nelson
Roy has asked that any CCA members in our Club, to please bring in any old Club magazines, for recruiting potential new members to the CCA. Showing them our magazine could greatly influence our recruiting goals. Please no magazines over 2 years old.

SNCCC Meetings
Many thanks to Mike Musicaro for graciously allowing us to use the meeting room at the Gold Coast for another year without charge. He was given an award, signifying our gratitude, at the last meeting. We have pledged to support the Gold Coast and acknowledge their support of our Club.

Clarification SNCCC/CCA/MoGH
I would like at this time to clarify some confusion concerning the three organizations listed above. This newsletter is for the benefit of the SNCCC (Southern Nevada Casino Collectibles Club). We are a local club with no official affiliations with the CCA, Casino Collectibles Association. Many of our local members are also members of the CCA and at times it seems we are in step with the CCA. However, we have our own Constitution and Bylaws. Our agenda is very different from the CCA. Additionally, the MoGH (Museum of Gaming History) is an Educational Project of the CCA, as a part of the CCA's not-for-profit status. Any Member of the CCA is automatically a Member of the MoGH. Now, to make things a little more complicated, I along with Jim Follis, are also CCA Board members, as well as Board Members of the SNCCC and board members of the MoGH. The SNCCC has donated money to the MoGH, in the past, and is instrumental in helping achieve its goals. If you have any questions, please feel free to bring them up at the next meeting. Note also that SNCCC members, Roy Nelson is also a CCA Board member and, Sheldon Smith, Ross Poppel and Steve Palumbo are MoGH Board members.

In closing, I wish to thank the SNCCC Board for doing a great job. Rick and Terry Lonski, Jim Follis, Jaydon & Evy Ogden, Dale and Sally Horyna, they work very hard to make the club run efficiently and effectively.

To the Club's overall membership, I wish to say I’m proud to be your President and look forward to 2019 in achieving new goals and offering some new activities.

See you at the next meeting.
