I rented from Payless at McCarran exactly once. First, a line a mile long, not fun after a six hour flight. Then I got a time consuming hard sell about refusing the insurance. I finally got out of there, but when I returned the car, I found they had added a daily charge for “road service”. When I complained, they said they add it on to every contract, which isn’t true. I couldn’t pursue it without missing my plane. I went there to save money, but their rental wound up costing MORE than their competitors.
