I just spent 2 hours on the phone with apple to finally try figure out how to use the scanner portion of my HP ENVY printer with my Mac Book Pro instead of posting pics from my I phone. Long story short I down loaded the Apple HP Scan App and when you open the app, scan comes up but no hp devices show up, recognize my scanner / printer or can be entered to be added. Finally spoke to a supervisor and they said its not their problem because I can print on it so its communicating. It must be HP. This is certainly above my pay grade.
