Global warm...err, Climate change
In Response To: That's not inconsistent ()

The thing that always pops up in my mind when this subject comes up is that there is no mention of, are the cycles the earth goes through every so many 10's of 1000s of years from Ice Age to whatever scientists call the opposite, and even though these cycles can vary in length and speed, they are just that; cyclical.
The real question or Theory is; is the most recent cycle being affected in some way by Man? And if so how much? The point that a single volcanic eruption puts out the equivalent of XX years of manmade junk in the atmosphere is a valid point of discussion and outlines the realities of what we're talking about here. You have to really search hard to find the numbers/data (which can be twisted or 'interpreted' before it gets to us) since the media decides how much info they'll pass along on the subject. The avg. temp of the earth's surface has risen what, a degree or two, over the last 100 years or something? Ok I get it, let's discuss. But to go full-Chicken Little on everyone...
Bottom line before any discussion starts and opinions fly (cause that's what they are when talking about 'Theories'), lay the facts/data on the table they let's talk. I believe there is an 'Elitist' mentality by certain 'scientists' (and their political supporters) towards the general public that most cannot comprehend the significance and intricacy of the data, like we are children and they know what's best for us
