As mentioned in a thread below; this poor chip had its share of misinformation attached to it for many years, but this one takes the cake. The description even claims that the serial number of 1802 is a date. Not sure how old the listing is, but just noticed it yesterday. Some sort of error, I assume, where the description is not correct.

The chip is a type of plastic; and there's no silver, either.
