I believe these 2 people did a lot of good in California chip research. But I believe other people (many) are to blame for some of the ID’s. They would tell them where there were from...and most of the time didn’t have proof either way. Word of mouth passed this info on for many years....now...they are legend. I can produce a record card from the manufacturer...and they will still come up with an excuse to defend the old attribution..... I can’t blame any 1,2.... 5 ...10 people. We have all done this for years. We buy a chip. Someone tells us where a chip is from ...just to add value and be able to sell it.
Can anyone defend this attribution.....??
I can’t blame Barry for this....he probably bought the chips and that person told him they were from Patterson?
