Good News - USPS Mailing Chips

I went to the post office today to mail chips on three trades that I recently made. Two of the trades were for a single chip and the other was for 4 chips. For the single chips, I put the chip in a cut down bubble mailer inside a regular business envelope, less than an ounce each. I asked for "Non-Machine Readable First Class Large Envelope" on the two single chip trades. The clerk said that I didn't need large envelope because it was a regular business envelope. I thought I needed large envelope because of the thickness. Those two envelopes were each only 71c (50c first class envelope plus 21c non-machine readable surcharge). The four chip trade was in a bubble envelope and I was charged 92c (71c for 2 ounces first class + 21c non-machine readable surcharge). I was expecting a fight with the clerk arguing that these were all "packages" (and not envelopes) that would cost over $3 each to mail. Pleasant surprise. Happy Holidays.
