Here I am getting ready in December of 1969 for my first trip to Las Vegas. I took a 2 week long trip with 2 of my friends in my 1952 Dodge Route Van. We went to the Grand Canyon and did a helicopter ride into the canyon. The ride cost $50 for all 3 of us and we discussed how high the price was for about a half hour before we said yes. We spent New Years Eve 1969 to 1970 on Fremont St. It was BIG time for 3, 19 year old guys.
