I was in 9th grade when Marvel comics started getting popular. I used to wait until the second Tuesday of the month and then take my savings and go and buy every Marvel comic on the shelf. I had many of the first issues and I sold them all a few years after getting married for 1/4 of then book value. I got $110 for them which is about what I had paid for them originally. A few years ago I went to comic con at South Point during our convention and figured out that the comics I sold would be worth $250,000 now.
