Then it's not combined shipping, read every word...

You'll see the combined shipping total at checkout." and then "If the Shipping section of the listing doesn't specify shipping costs for additional items, you'll need to ask the seller before you pay. If the seller agrees to ship the items in one package, they'll send you a combined invoice detailing all the items, and the new cost of shipping."

If the seller agrees, but the seller said combined shipping? Yes it does say at the new cost of shipping. And yes there is a spot in the listings for fee for each additional item. Our problem is the varying weights of one chip vs maybe a set of 12, which obviously can't be combined for One Price!

As for what I always assumed and I figure now that I was wrong, combined shipping, meant, pay one price, you get everything you order, in one package for the stated price. Of course that's totally unfair to the seller, and why I've avoided it when I sell chips. Now that I've seen the various ways combined can be interpreted, I like it.

I've always had the dilemma that if I sell my cheap chips for a low price, including shipping, 1) every chip would have to include the fee for shipping one chip or 2) combined shipping, someone could buy a stack and I'd lose money or 3) List a per item additional fee, added to the initial shipping fees.

Now I see 4 - Combined shipping means all in one package for one low rate = determined by the actual weight of the package if it goes over the base rate.

Someone buys one chip, they get the base rate, they buy 3 it's probably still the base rate. When the number goes over that, the rate goes up. And imagine this, if it goes past 15.9 oz then the rate would change to priority because I can't print a 1st class label anymore.

Highly educational exchange, I learned something today and the answer solves a question I've had for years. Yes I always understood combined shipping to mean, multiple items at the stated one combined shipping flat rate... but now I see it also could mean, combined in one package, for one lower rate.

Fair enough. I'll have to work on the wording, now I can sell more chips, with combined shipping! Good News
