From the tale that Lord Douglas ordered that upon his death, his heart be cut out of his body and taken to the Holy Land. But they did it, or at least somebody ran around for awhile with Douglas' heart in an amulet. I don't know where it finally ended up, hopefully not in the surtido mix I bought at the Latino market last week.

Various examples of the Douglas logo (some discovered by yours truly) - items from this long-gone brand are sought after by collectors of petroliana, who are sometimes more fanatical than casino items collectors.
