Nothing that happened before matters, the odds of Red or Black are always the same, every spin. In effect, if Black came up 16 times in a row, there is no change in the odds, saying that Red is more likely to come up on the next spin. Only humans think that, the wheel and probability have no memory.
Calculating odds after the fact, like what are the chances for three in a row of the same number, being over 54,000 to one, are correct. This is a known event series.
