I usually only collect one of any Thunderbird items I come across. I saw this " Bigler " Thunderbird 10 cent slot machine bank with better graphics than the couple that I currently have & in near perfect shape, so I bought it. This Bigler style does not have a coin plug on back to access coins and does not have a switch to move into payout mode. The seller said there were dimes in the bank that he could not get out. I received it today and after about an hour I was able to remove all the dimes without any damage to bank. There were 27 dimes in bank and 11 were silver. There was 4 mercury & 7 Roosevelt silver dimes with no rarities by date or mintmark. That's the most silver coinage I have found in a long time. The Roosevelt silver dimes were from 1946 - 1953. The clad Roosevelt dimes were 1965 - 1967 with 2 being 2014. No big financial gain as I was hoping for that 1916-D Mercury.
