Once upon a time --- a shipping error happened.

As many of you may know, at one time I controlled the 46 of the 50 made 250.000Bef Casino Oostende plaques (all have been sold for many years) which almost didn't happen due to a shipping error. The last shipment from Belgium with jetons and plaques from the series included 30 of the remaining plaques and left Belgium via the carrier on a Tuesday. The box they were in was approx the size of a shoebox. Anyway, the shipment never arrived as scheduled. Upon calling the shipping company, thay told me about the error by explaining everything that is in their control on a Tuesday, from Belgium, goes directly to Motorola. Which, at that point, was a relief knowing that it's right here in Florida. So, of course, I call Motorola explaining all this to them and ask if I can please have my package shipped to me per the shipper's instructions. Piece of cake, right? 😀 Not really, because at that time receiving at Motorola asked me to describe the package (shoebox size) and upon them hearing that they told me ALL their packages from Belgium are shoebox size. Still didn't seem like too much of a problem to me since the package is addressed to me... until they tell me all of those packages are in a 40-foot shipping container that stays put and unloaded as needed... I finally got to the right person and they found it and delivered it to my door a few days later.
