Draw a straight horizontal line from the "C" at the bottom of the chip, and it will end in "uncharted territory" where the lettering wore away. But as you marked (hopefully not on your original chip!) - there will be just enough space to fill in the missing letters for the word "Capucines."

We will have to find a Frenchman from the 1890's and ask him. Marie Calment, who lived to 122, was the oldest French lady living but alas, she is gone now. (She sold brushes to Vincent Van Gogh, scoring Big History Points.)

Anyway, that's my layman's decision and I'm stickin' wit' it. Now hand me that ol' paintbrush, I gotta stain the redwood fence.
