Re: REMEMBERING THE CREEPER
In Response To: REMEMBERING THE CREEPER ()

I met Joe at the convention 4 years ago. He was kind enough to answer a lot of questions I had as that was my first convention. We talked dice collecting mostly and the state of the casinos now compared to them back in the early days. I liked Joe and considered him a friend. He suggested I join the club and I did so at the convention that year. Over the next couple years I started reading The Chip Board post and found out that some of Joe's post were kind of polarizing and abrasive to many others who also posted. He was very vocal on issues he felt strongly about concerning the club. I did not agree with all of Joe's post, but many of them I could see his point. He was not afraid to let folks know what he thought about an issue and I respected him for that. I remember when Joe ran for club vice president in 2016 and lost to Jay Sands. Joe received almost 30% of the vote, ( Joe 47 votes & Jay 125 votes ), which tells me Joe was not alone in wanting to move the club in another direction. I miss seeing all of Joe's pictures from all over Las Vegas on this board and seeing him in person at the convention.
