I've been doing a lot of buying/selling/trading for several years. More and more, when I mail chips, I use cardboard mailers in a regular envelope for just one "forever" stamp (a bit more if there are three chips). I do this for one or two chips, sometimes three, assuming the chips are not rare. Four or more chips, I do use a padded envelope, etc. Obviously if the chips are not replaceable, then I use the padded envelope, and have tracking. I've receive chips both ways. The cardboard mailer obviously saves a trip to the post office. So far, I've had no problem doing this.
I'm just wondering what others do. Do you use padded envelopes with tracking all the time, even for one common chip? If you vary, how do you decide?
