Got my most wanted chip

It's a little strange to want a chip for so long and finally get it after years of hope. It's a fairly ordinary chip, and most of the people who have had one for awhile had no idea it was even uncommon until a few years ago, but they are very hard to come by. The one before mine was traded for a number of chips for a huge value. I bid far more than I actually had to pay for it. Which left me strangely ambivalent. First, I was excited to get it for so little. No desire to pay more than I have to. On the other hand, I know and like the person who traded so much for theirs and I felt so bad for them I actually had a knot in my stomach whenever I thought of him. He let me know he is fine with it and has a very healthy win some, lose some attitude. A good guy indeed. I also immediately thought of what it means for the Caribbean chip values that I could get this chip for so little. Nice to get the chips, but sad to think of what their values have become. And Caribbean collectors have put a lot more money into their collections than I have. Anyway, happy to finally have:

Since I got this from Spinetti's, I suspect it came from the late Eric Rosenblum's collection (the part which he sold before he died). There are now only 3 known 1 denomination chips from Aruba I don't own, 1 is not in dollars, 1 in unique as far as I know and the last is in very few hands (I am pretty sure you have one, Dick!). Now, the hunt continues for all of those $5 Aruba chips I don't own!! vbg
