Apparently Louigi's Broiler had its beginnings in downtown Las Vegas some time between
1951 and 1953. This postcard view would seem to verify these dates. There is no listing in
the 1950 phone book and a listing for Louigi's at 3417 S. 5th (later strip) in the 1955 book.
The other postcard looks to be around 1954 and shows the signage removed. just wondering
if the place was inside the Silver Palace or maybe in the basement where Cosmo's was later
on. The Over50Vegas website doesn't say anything about Louigi's. Anyone know? I used to
frequent the strip location and remember a single 21 table and two Jennings slot machines
with Sans Souci glass. If you ordered pizza they would have it made at the Tower of Pizza
which was located directly across LV blvd.
