I don't claim to know much about this area of the country.

According to the attached article from December 6, 1965, there was something called "The Strip" in northern Hancock county that had numerous gambling clubs. The article talks about the raid on the Paddock Club, "the largest gambling enterprise in the strip."

The last paragraph says, "Since last May, state troopers have raided the Paddock, Red Dog, Win Place Show, Hilltop Inn, JADE CLUB, Half Moon Inn, and the Cactus Bar, all located in the Strip."

That is literally all I know of the area.
