Also, the proliferation of legal casinos in most states now, due to tax opportunities.

The development of player tracking cards is having an effect too. Just build up some points, get a comp from a kiosk. No need for the "personal touch" of a casino host for most people.

As the Millennials and younger become gamblers, their experience with electronic games will mean even more of a shift to non live-dealer games on the casino floor. They don't have the experience of playing board games with real dice, etc.

The current irritants of paid parking and substantial resort fees will soon become accepted, or at least tolerated.

The South Point has become my go-to casino vs. center-strip mega-casinos. I wish the "good ol' days" anticipation and electricity of a LV trip were still there, but it's not.
