Suggestion and tons of people jump on the bandwagon expressing thier desire to make this happen.
The reality is not one of these people in the past has done the legwork to submit a proposal to the club.
If people REALLY want the club to consider a convention or additional show outside Las Vegas, many questions need to be answered.
1) Does the proposed casino even have showroom and breakout room space
2) What would this space cost us
3) Can they provide reasonable room rates for people attending (Highly unlikely in a place like AC)
4) How would you get all the club signage, tables, display cases and merchandise to this new location?
Currently all that stuff is just a few mikes from the South Point. Moving it all thousands of miles away could be costly and that needs to be considered.
5) How many dealers would be willing to attend? Remember a large percentage of dealers at the convention live either in Nevada or California and drive thier inventory to the show. That is much harder with a show on The east coast or Canada.
Now with all that being said, I also like the idea of another show or another potential convention location. But in order to do that, someone needs to do the research and put together a real proposal, not just a suggestion. Is someone willing to do that? In the past that request has fallen on deaf ears and no one has stepped forward.
Just some things to consider.
Suggestions are the easy part. Coming up with a solution to mske the suggestion and reality, not so much.........
