SNCCC August Invitation.... TONIGHT!!!!!

YOU ARE CORDIALLY INVITED TO ATTEND OUR MONTHLY MEETINGS!!!

At our meetings, we have trading and selling of Casino Memorabilia which starts at 6PM and resumes following the meeting. You are invited to both the meeting and trading sessions.

Early Bird Auction
At our meeting, the Early Bird Auction begins at 6:45 pm followed by our Guest Speaker (if scheduled) and then the Club meeting. You can see the list of items and scans offered in this message. In the event you are not able to make it in person, you are welcome to email me with your highest bid. Just include your CCGTCC/CCA or SNCCC membership number and which lot you want to bid on. Payment for winning bids is due at the end of the auction. If you are an absentee winner, you will receive an invoice. You may bring any items for future auctions with you. Any form of Casino Memorabilia is welcome. The Club takes a 20% seller’s fee unless you opt to donate all proceeds to the Club.

Speaker
Be prepared to be entertained by Frank Sinatra impersonator CJ “The Voice “Sinestro. He will be performing for our club members and answering your questions on his life in show business here in Las Vegas. He is a self-proclaimed Frank Sinatra devotee with an eye for history and an ear for Frank’s music. A performer since winning a talent contest in 1999, Sinestro has performed in many casinos in the past. He is back on stage for a joint gig with The Rat Pack is Back show at the Tuscany. An Incidental collector, he has a sizeable collection of Frank Sinatra vintage memorabilia.

Raffle 50/50
There will be a 50/50 raffle for cash and/or prizes which is quite fun! This month’s auction will include a set of 6 grand opening Chips from the recently opened Hard Rock and Ocean Casino in Atlantic City. The Hard Rock and Ocean Casinos. These were donated by Jerry Vergatos with 100% of the proceeds going to the SNCCC. Starting bid on this item only will be $17.00. Proxy bids are welcome.

If you are not yet a member or your membership has lapsed, I invite you to join the SNCCC. An annual membership is only $12.00 payable at the door. You are, of course, welcome as a guest to see what we’re all about and you can bring your friends as well!!!!!!!!!!

Our meetings are short, which gives you lots of time to socialize and gain knowledge about whatever interests you with casino memorabilia.

Minutes of the Regular Monthly Meeting
Tuesday, July 10, 2018
Salon A Gold Coast Hotel and Casino

Prior to the Business Meeting of the SNCCC, we conducted our Early Bird Auction, beginning at 6:45 pm, which ran for 20 minutes, followed by a brief intermission. Following the intermission, our Guest Speaker, Geoff Schumacher, Director of Content, Mob Museum spoke about the newest upgrades to the Mob Museum. He also brought along a mason jar of “Moonshine” that was later raffled, going to Jaydon. Mr. Schumacher also brought along after-hours Speak Easy passes.
The meeting was called to order by President Jerry Vergatos at 7:50 p.m. with 40 members and guests in attendance. Next month’s meeting (August 14) will be held in the Salon A at the Gold Coast Hotel and Casino, as will all meetings through December of 2018.
The Club Secretary (Jim Follis) read the minutes of the last meeting held on July 10, 2018. The minutes were unanimously approved without objection.

Treasurer, Jim Diesinger was absent and President Vergatos reported that the Club’s Financial Balance as: $7,350.99.

Membership Chairperson, Jaydon Ogden, presented that Membership was 161, thanks to the efforts of Tree Shields, James Lines, Rich Klabacha, Pete Donnelly and others at the SNCCC half Table at the Convention.

OLD BUSINESS:

Ron Gaudette updated everyone on the Facebook ConCam and asked all Facebook members to invite Friends to the SNCCC Group.

Dale Horyna asked for “J” or better chips for the Club’s Online Fundraiser Auction.

Tree Shields and James Lines managed the SNCCC half Table at the CCA Convention.
Steve Palumbo spoke about final Convention preparations.

NEW BUSINESS:

James Lines thanked Pete Donnelly for the donation of matchbooks for the SNCCC Half Table at Convention.

Rich Klabacha suggested getting Nevada State licenses plates with SNCCC.

Jim Follis announced Nevada State Museum/Gaming Control Enhancement.

Jerry announced CCA Election results for Vice President and Membership.

Jerry announced Jim Follis received 2 Awards at the CCA Convention, Greg Susong and MoGH Chairman Awards.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:15 pm.

Greetings to all our members!

I hope everyone is surviving the heat wave. We should be in the clear by next month!

SPEAKER

Open House
I will be hosting an Open House next month to recruit volunteers for the MoGH. Only members in the CCA can offer their time and effort. If you would like to join us, you may contact Roy Nelson for membership information in the CCA.

SPEAKER REQUESTS
It is my wish to provide a diverse and interesting speaker at all our meetings. If anyone has any suggestions or contacts who could be a speaker at our meeting, please let me know. I have an opening for the Sept 11 meeting

Membership Addresses
Please make sure your email address is up to date so that we can communicate any last-minute news. There have been some changes in our meeting rooms and it is imperative that we notify you.

Video Taping
Ron Gaudette will be videotaping our meeting again. If anyone does not want to be captured on video, please let any Board member know so that we can accommodate you.

Charitable Donations
If any club member wishes to propose a donation to any worthwhile organization, they are welcome to present a proposal at our next meeting. Our effort to donate to UNLV was met with no interest.
