There are 8 casino-related construction projects around Las Vegas at this time, including 2 doubtful / undetermined projects. That means some new chips to collect, though we'll have to be patient. Some won't be opening until late 2020, and may be delayed even further.
Here's my round-up of projects. If you know of others, please respond.
1. Stratosphere -- changing names to "The Strat". The new owner, Golden Entertainment, is refreshing the property. Date for new chips is undetermined, but signage, etc. is beginning to change. See:

2. SLS -- new ownership. New "working title" name is Grand Sahara Resort. New chips sometime in 2019?
3. Fontainbleu (never finished) -- new owners re-naming it "The Drew". Target open date is late 2020.
4. Stardust / Echelon Place -- new owners (Genting Group) have named it "Resorts World". Actively under construction, to open in 2020.
5. Hard Rock LV -- new owner (Virgin Group) naming it Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, or something like that. Targeted open in 2019.
6. Las Vegas Club & adjacent clubs (whole block downtown). New owner: Derek Steven's group (owns The D and Golden Gate). No name or date announced yet, but demolition is complete.
7. Lucky Dragon -- closed & in bankruptcy. No info on if / when it will open again. Maybe morph into a non-casino hotel, but who knows?
8. Wynn's "Paradise Park" and "Wynn West" projects -- the new CEO appears to have cancelled these projects for good. There's room for further expansion around the Wynn / Encore complex, but nothing seems to be contemplated for now.
Anything else on the horizon?
