..........always the hardest one to get. Years ago I needed only the Hot Orange #2 to complete my 14 piece set of both Hard Rock #ed tables. One came up on ebay and I missed it and it sold for around $350.00 to another collector (Good Old Skip H) got it. I literally begged Skip for the chip and throw all kinds of money at him but he hung on to the chip saying he was going to get all 14 of the chips himself. Probably 3 or 4 years later I got a cryptic email from Skip that read. "Jerry, $1000 Skip" I knew immediately what he meant and I scrapped together the money and bought the #2 Hot Orange chip from him.
That is by FAR the most that I have EVER paid for a single chip but I wanted it to complete the set. The good news is that I had gotten the other 13 chips early on - I harvested a couple myself and traded for 2 or 3 others and bought the other 8 or 9 chips for less than $400.00. So, I ended up completing the set for around $1400.00 - not a bad price for this elusive 14 piece set.
I think there are only about 3 or 4 of these complete sets in collectors hands.
By the way I know where there is a #2 Blue chip but it's not going anywhere !!
