Ever since PayPal was split off from Ebay, there have been times when the two companies have lacked coordination. In the past, you could ship an Ebay order and PayPal would show the shipping info. Now, shipping through Ebay is not always reflected on PayPal (even though the shipping fee comes out of your PayPal account). In July, I have had about six Ebay shipments that still show up on PayPal as unshipped.

This is important because PayPal has a 180-day guarantee. If shipping info is not updated, it is too easy for a buyer to say they never received the item. You don't want to have to go back 5 or 6 months to determine what happened, and I fear PayPal will just refund the money on the spot because their records are incomplete.

I monitor my PayPal account (clicking "ready to ship"). These past few weeks have been the worst. The solution is to manually enter tracking info on the PayPal record. Considering how bad this has gotten, I doubt whether PayPal will invest in correcting it.
