Shown below are scans of a Dunes Crest & Seal Roulette with a defect. This chip is unusual because the chip looks fine when viewed straight on - but there is definitely a defect that shows up when viewed from an angle. There is a "void" in the surface of the chip but the inlay is not torn or damaged as you would expect with a gouge of some sort. Could there have been a void in the clay when the insert was applied ??
