Ed was a good friend who I met at my first convention. At that time, he took me under his wing, and introduced me to all the great New Mexico chips since my wife had roots in New Mexico in her growing up years. He was a mentor and communicated on a regular basis about The Land Of Enchantment state of New Mexico. He was a caring and generous person, and we had long chats at each year's convention. He told me two years ago he was in the fight of his life, but he promised to give it his all. He loved his sweet wife and was so proud of her poker prowess -- and often bragged on her for all her devotion and love. Some of my business friends in Tyler were in the same business of leasing postal facilities across the U.S. -- they too will be highly sadden about Ed's death. My condolences to Patti, and all who knew Ed. May Our Eternal Father grant this family solace and understanding during this difficult time. RIP, my friend and if you find more New Mexico chips in Heaven, please send me an email or text. I will sadly miss you, my friend!
