A wild guess... It was only the mid-40's ~~~

~~~ and like Archie said; the only game on the Strip, and perhaps since the club was an up-scale operation and not a sawdust joint... but rather one on an International level maybe they decided there was no need for a monetary unit as was the case in most major European jurisdictions where they hardly used their F, P, £ or L...?
