For further confusion on dates, the original Peppermill was a standalone restaurant (coffee shop), then they added a 1 or 2 story motel to the property. The low-rise motel was removed for the existing hotel tower. For a time, the original coffee shop was still part of the property, buy I think it's been remodeled out of existence now.

For the feel of the original "throwback" ambiance of the Peppermill-Reno, visit the standalone Peppermill restaurant on the LV Strip sometime. Pretty fun!
