I was fortunate enough to sit at the banquet

table at the 2009 ccgtcc convention with Michael Gaughan along with Doug Smith & a few others. Mr. Gaughan was just a regular guy who told stories about some of his Las Vegas experiences, people he had met over the years and some pretty funny stories about his father. If you asked him a question, he answered it & he laughed along with everyone at the stories told at the table. Like a lot of the people at that banquet had done, I had him sign the $5 chip that he handed out. Mine's a little different, though -- during the dinner, I told him that my daughter had just been accepted at one of his alma maters, so after he autographed the one side, he turned it over & wrote "FIGHT ON" (the "catch-phrase" for the USC Trojans) on the other side. That banquet was one of the most enjoyable of my ccgtcc convention memories.
