The change to the power lines, above to below ground was a multi-million dollar project. Caesars didn't want the ugly look of the lines that
could border the Flamingo expansion. It also affected to plan to take over the Stage Door site and the old Bourbon Street lot.

The Stage Door held out with their 20 some year lease and the expansion in that area did not progress.

Interesting note that the Las Vegas Fire Department station sat on the site near the Stage Door when the
MGM big fire occured. Probably the quickest response time being just across the street.
