I would guess 95% of my experiences as a collector have been online. I began online and only had online experiences for the first few years. That started in 2001, way before the decline of the hobby. In fact, it was still growing. The decrease in the hobby began with the global financial crisis in 2008. A number of things changed at that time: people left for financial reasons, members began dying as the collector populace grew older, postal rates increased dramatically and limited edition chips began to phase out. I see nothing to indicate the internet cause any decline at all, but I am open to hear why you think it's so.
