I'd never seen the Hard Rock Deadman's Party chips before now. That is one of my all-time favorite songs! Danny Elfman, the front man, composer and lead vocalist for Oingo Boingo is a musical genius! His musical portfolio extends way beyond his band. He has composed a number of movie soundtracks and many other works, including The Simpsons theme song. He stopped performing live concerts with Oingo Boingo more than 20-years-ago because the sound pressure levels he endured while performing on stage took a heavy toll on his hearing.

I really enjoy unusual musical time signatures when they are done right, and Deadman's Party is a great example. While working in a live music rock and roll club in the late 80's - early 90's, I only saw one band try to cover this song, and they needed to back track it (play along with a recording of the song) to do it.
