But....I would be more willing to accept the answer if I could actually see the $1 chip ANYWHERE besides the redemption notice.

Like I said before, several sources show a new $1 Palms chip being issued in 2014, but that doesn't look anything like the $1 in the redemption notice.

A while ago I converted the Gaming report to a spreadsheet for reference. You can see a design approved in 2013 and reorders since. That one matches what John posted in the note below.

But it is so weird that they would change the artwork for all of the other denominations with the change, show a $1 that doesn't exist and never issue it.

(PS: if anyone would like the spreadsheet just shoot me an email, it's very interesting if you are trying to find when things got approved. Or see things that got approved but never issued...)
